Team Manager Kevin Doran, who will spearhead Landshark Racing's
first effort in the prestigious twice - around - the - clock event, designed some
new aerodynamic bodywork panels which tested very positively. In addition to the bodywork tests, the team tested a new Ferrari endurance engine, scheduled to be run in the 1997 endurance events. |
Yokohama Tire engineers have made continuing improvements to their Yokohama
AVS tire all year. Their latest developments were also tested at the
November session. "The test went very well," said Landshark's Gerry Jackson. "The car ran flawlessly. The new engine was smooth and reliable and the new tire developments are very promising, thanks to Yokohama's hard work. The tricks that Kevin engineered with the bodywork will really complete an already perfect Ferrari package." |
Drivers participating in the November test session included
Jackson, Gianpiero Moretti, owner of the #30 MOMO Corse Ferrari 333 SP,
Didier Theys, Derek Bell, and Hurley Haywood. Lista International Corporation will once again return as a sponsor on the #66 Landshark/Lista entry. Lista's chairman and Ferrari 333 SP owner/driver, Fredy Lienhard, is expected to make four driving appearances during the 1997 season with the #66 Ferrari in the IMSA WSC series.
